Gemma & Kevin
Gemma and Kevin have a long history working in local catering, hospitality and food establishments across the North Yorkshire Region. Former owners of the Derwent Deli and Bistro at Stamford Bridge which they then sold in 2022. Moving to Malton shortly after, they opened the very successful New Derwent Bistro and Gj’s Sugar Shack which they now run alongside the Starr.
They have now taken on the Star Inn Weaverthorpe as their latest venture (April 2025) and have spent the last four months fully refurbishing the rooms, bar and kitchen in preparation for the opening night on Friday the 13th June, see our Facebook Page or Blog posts for more updates.
